Spring on the Farm

Saturday, May 6 | 10-1 pm

Come greet the new farm animals, join Farmer Eidem planting in the garden, and smell the delicious treats baking in the kitchen.  Kids, enter our Name the Cow contest and don’t forget to decorate a pot and plant a flower to take home.  Additional activities for the day include pony rides from 11-1 pm.

Stories from the Porch

Join us this summer as we meet new animal friends and join in on their many adventures into the world around them.  Come learn about the mishaps and fun our new little friends encounter along the way.

Day Story time

Tuesdays, June 20, July 11, 18, August 1, 8, 15 & 22 | 10-12 pm

Reading of children’s stories start at 10:15 and 11 am followed with playtime in the barnyard until 12 pm.  Pack a chair or blanket, listen to stories by our storytellers, then enjoy playing on the farm.  Snacks available for purchase.

Evening Story time

Tuesdays, June 27, July 25, August 29 | 7-8 pm

Come in your jammies, bring your blankets and join us for a peaceful farmyard evening listening to bedtime stories then say goodnight to the animals.

Cost: FREE


Daily Life on the Farm

Every other Wednesday, June 14 – August 23 | 12-3 pm                                                                           4th Saturday of June, July, August  | 10-1 pm

Come experience life on a farm in 1900 first hand.  Help with chores inside the house and around the barnyard.  Get dirty tending the garden and repairing tools.  Or just drop by for a quiet visit while rocking and knitting on the porch.  So, mosey on over, lend a hand or pull up a chair.  Neighbors and friends are always welcome!

Cost: $5 at the door, kids 4 and under free.


Fall on the Farm

It’s harvest time on the farm!  There’s plenty of fun to be had as you experience harvesting the garden, pressing cider, fall goodies cooked in the kitchen, and hay rides around the farm.  Come learn what it meant to “put up” for the winter.

Norwegian Christmas

Saturday, December 2 & Sunday, December 3 |  1-4 pmIMG_4394

Celebrate the yule-tide season with some old-fashioned festivities and Norwegian traditions!  Sing along with carolers, make an ornament or gift, watch Christmas treats being made on the wood stove, try out your kick sledding skills, and visit with St. Nick.
