Tater Daze June 16 & 17
Eidem Homestead will be open and hosting several different activities throughout Tater Daze. Here’s what will be happening at the farm for Tater Daze:
Tours of the House
Take a tour of the Victorian house and learn what life was like with no electricity or running water on a Brooklyn Park farm in 1900. Tours will start on the hour and half hour.
Friday: First tour starts at 12:30 pm and the last one starts at 6:30 pm.
Saturday: First tour starts at 10:30 pm and the last one starts at 5:30 pm.
Go for a hayride around the grounds of Eidem Homestead and see what wildlife you might find along the way. Rides will begin on the 15 and 45 of every hour.
Friday: First ride at 1:15 pm and the last ride leaves at 6:15 pm; no ride at 3:45 pm.
Saturday: First ride at 11:15 am and the last ride leaves at 5:15 pm; no ride at 2:15 pm.
Come check out one of the demonstrations we’ll have throughout the weekend.

Eidem’s Annual Bake Contest
Saturday, June 17 10-4 pm
Entries open to any and all over the age of 10! Submit an item in one of four categories—Sweet Treats, Pastries & Breads, Canned Items, and NEW Featuring Potato. Contestants will be broken into two age groups: 10-17 and 18+. For each age group category there will be a grand prize winner and ribbons for 1st-3rd place. Entry forms and instructions can be found here. Come discover the hidden baking or canning talents of your neighbors!
Thursdays, July 13 – August 17 | 6:15-8 pm
The fun continues Thursday nights with live music! Enjoy a peaceful evening of music surrounded by the rustic charm of a not so rural farm. Family friendly artists of various genres perform off the kitchen porch to viewers of all ages. Concession items available for purchase. Movie on the Barn
Friday, August 18 | 8 pm gates open, movie starts at dusk
Cost: FREE. Snack items will be available for purchase.
Come take in a picture show under the stars! Bring along picnic blankets, chairs, and warm clothes. Round up the family or grab a friend, you won’t want to miss this! Family friendly movies will be projected on the barn door. If it rains, event is cancelled.
